One super stylus for the price of two!

Advantages: Big stylus works perfectly & is superb value. Smaller one has neat design features. Excellent for £1
Disadvantages: Smaller stylus is more hit-and-miss in terms of functionality
The thing about Poundland is that I'm forever looking for that "best ever Poundland purchase" moment. These styluses (styli?) comes pretty high up.
In the pack you get two styluses, one intended for tablet use (the size of a standard pen) and a baby one intended for smartphone use.
The larger stylus for the tablet is the same size as a standard pen. It's made of plastic, silver in colour and has a soft rubber tip at the end. There's a clip to keep it in a jacket pocket. Most standard tablet cases have a holder at the edge for a stylus, and this one fits perfectly in mine. The only problem is that the particular case I bought will not close with the stylus in place - this is a case issue (and a bargain-hunting issue), not a stylus one! The stylus works brilliantly with my Kobo. It's easy and comfortable to hold and the tablet responds to it instantly every time. It makes this a brilliant Poundland purchase, particularly as I paid £7.99 for one from Amazon for a gift back in January. Admittedly there is a noticeable difference in weight/feel but in terms of functionality there is nothing to choose between them.
The smaller one appears in the pack only a few inches long, and it's very thin (3-4mm diameter). It has a loop of twine at the end which is attached to a plastic 'plug' which is designed to fit a standard headphone jack on a smartphone. It fits mine nice and securely and is a neat design feature. The other thing about the small stylus I only discovered by accident - it extends - to roughly double its length, so it's about the same as holding a very thin pen. The problem with this stylus, however, is pretty fundamental - it has a tough plastic tip, which for me at least is really unresponsive with my ipod screen. It's angled, and I think you need to get 100% contact between the angled surface of the tip and your screen, which is too much like hard work when you just want to tap a few words in quickly. So despite a clever design, I have discarded this stylus as it's easier to use fingers.
~Styli summed up~
The large stylus is as functional and responsive as other more expensive equivalents, making this an outstanding Poundland buy. Other people may find it easier than me to use the smaller stylus - it depends heavily on the angle you naturally hold a pen in relation to a screen, and if that happens to be the exact angle of the tip then your poundland bargain just doubled in value!
Summary: Brilliant value even if only one of the styluses works for you.
