      Car holder: Sony Ericsson HCH-61

      Car holder: Sony Ericsson HCH-61

This is a purchases I did with my phone Sony Ericsson W800 a couple of years ago. I got my first car and of course thought it has an absolute necessity to have card holder in the car. Of course I couldn't go without because it's so handy! Well I have to say it was handy but really for the right reasons and was it worth the hole in the dashboard?

At some point having a car holder was the new thing to do because where else did you had to place your mobile phone? So of course I didn't want to stay behind and got myself the Sony Ericsson HCH-61 which is a car holder for my phone then. I don't know the exact amount what I paid for this car holder but I saw you can get this one now for around 9 pounds which isn't bad.

The car holder comes in black and is just the most basic car holder you can get. It has two functions and that's holding your phone in place and secure so it doesn't fall out while driving and the second function is charging the phone. You can connect the car holder to your cigarette lighter in order to charge your phone. I have to say this is quiet handy since I often forget to charge my phone at home. The car holder does what it needs to do and never did my phone fall out of the holder no matter how crazy my driven was.

The holder is handy when you place it right near the steering wheel so you can see who's calling you. Is it handy to receive a phone call? Not that easy since I always had trouble with the little buttons on the phone itself and got often frustrated and got distracted from the road. Also if you don't have a hand free set it's really not that handy.

Was it worth buying the car holder? Well it does what it suppose to do and didn't expect any miracles so can't say the product is bad. But as you may already expected since my old phone I got several new ones that don't fit in this one. So the option is or leaving the car holder in place which just looks silly, replacing it with a new one which cost money or removing it which will show the big hole. I have seen it in several cars that they had a hole in the dashboard and it doesn't look good. I bought a new one with a sucker device on the back so no hassle with another hole and the it hides the old one but I know it's still there!
