Diamond Supraexpress 56i ... I don't know that much about modems, I've only ever had a few. As long as they dial up to the Internet for me then I'm happy. But a while ago the unbranded K56flex modem I was using really was starting to get a bit past it. To cap it all off it was an old ISA card anyway. Not knowing much about the different makes, models etc of modems I just ordered one of the cheapest ones, the Diamond Supra Express 56i Pro, and oh baby I'm impressed. The first thing I noticed was my dial up speed was higher. Now I ALWAYS connect at 49.2 kbps, which gives me a maximum download speed of around 5.2k/s depending on network traffic and the server I'm downlo... Terayon TJ210 cable modem ... those of you joining the broadband revolution you will know that you need a piece of new hardward for your PC. That`s right. A Cable modem. If you decide to purchase your own rather than opt for one of the leading suppliers` rental schemes, you will probably end up buying a Terayon TJ210. Reason being that it is one of only a few makes of cable modem that you can track down for a reasonable price. At £120, it is one of the cheapest and most commonly available. Being a cable modem, it is capable of supplying your data from the internet at up to 512Kbps. Creative Modem Blaster PCI ... wanted to write a positive op for this product I truly did, and even though most of what follows talks about the good points of this modem and Creative. There was just a few too many niggles with this modem that has dented my appreciation of Creative. (Sorry Creative!) Onto the op! I picked up this modem from Dabs.com for slightly high price of £34 + VAT + P&P about a week ago and sadly enough I’m sending it back!
