Vodafone Easybox II ... is a small modem for connectin got the internet. It uses the Vodafone mobile phone network for transfer of data (be it uploading or downloading) I bought one of these when it became apparent that the wireless receiver for my laptop was no longer working effectively. I opened up the box and was greeted with a small white thing, which is aboult half the size of a regular chocolate bar. It was very light, and bore the distinctive Vodafone logo, and a small square which looked like it should light up. As it is so light, it does feel very cheap, and there isn t much of a feeling of quality here. A gentle squeeze reveals the distinctive creaking of cheap plastic!. Follow... I was specifically looking for moblie broadband, not necessarily so I can connect to the net on the move, but so I could roam around my own home wirelessly. My laptop is too shy (read: I m embarrassed of it!) to take out in public much, so I was just looking for something cheap and cheerful to use about the house. 3 Prepay Mobile Broadband Modem ... am currently in a 18 month contract with three and I am so glad I am with them. Speed - I usually achieve 2mb per second which is average of a fixed broadband line so considering this is wireless is an absolute bargain! Although please note that the speed does depend on coverage and so far my slowest speed has been around 100kbps although this still beats modem dial up which maximum was 56 kbps. Coverage - Naturally this product works better when I m using my laptop outside but inside there is still enough coverage to get a decent speed although please note that on the three site make sure you have HSPDA/3G coverage in your area for the internet as GSM/EDGE/2G wont b...
