Elsa Microlink 56k Fun USB ... Microlink 56k Fun Modem External is a great little modem. And “little” is understated, when you open the box you’ll think there is parts missing or something. Because the tiny, fluorescent coloured, little box you have in your hands is about the same size as a pack of cards! (Its actually 40x90x113mm) Capable of v.92 and v.90 (basically all these mean is that you will get a quicker connection “sometimes” if you have these. 90 and 92 are just the index standard numbers) and a load of others I’ve even heard of (must be good). Elsa Microlink 56k Fun ... Terminal Adapter is pretty much like the Eicon model. Except not as small and slick looking. This T/A slightly outperforms the Eicon model too. Only slightly though! Again this device is extremely poor for online gaming. And also again, this is only suited to casual surfers. This T/A is slightly cheaper than the Eicon model putting it within the price range of budget hardware shoppers. If its a bargain you want, thats what you will get! This T/A has a pretty poor software bundle compared to the Eicon USB T/A. But the software that they have included is very high quality, with functions such as Fone thru ISDN and Fax etc. The software seemed to work very well in Windo... Hayes Accura v92 ... of you, who have read my more recent computer opinions, will know that during July, I had a minor mishap with the insides of my PC which resulted in me having to replace about half of the insides of my beloved computer. One of the things I was forced to replace was my aging, but still excellent, Aztech modem. Now, it wasn’t the most friendly of modems, and required careful handling when it was being inserted, and when new drivers were being installed, but once it was running, it was a brilliant modem with lots of features.
