Baytech DS 71-MD3

Baytech DS 71-MD3 ... system data controller that directs operations between the base unit, system modules and externally connected devices.

The DS71-MD3 host communications modem module has a 33.6 K bps (V.32bis/V.42bis) modem built into it. The modem allows standard dial up telephone lines to be used between the DS-Series data switch installation and the user's location.

The serial I/O modules provide user-programmable port configuration for standard baud rate, word size, stop bits, and parity. Other programmable features include: menu selection mode, default port connection mode, port device name, port select code, attention character, disconnect time guard, and login password. These features are programmed by accessing the menu-driven configuration mode from the DS71-MD3.
