Comtrol Rocketmodem 6 i ... build a custom data communications server using industry-standard open systems technology. Combining Comtrol's proven RocketPort multiport serial controller technology plus industry-standard modem modules, the RocketModem provides either four or eight 33.6 Kbps data and fax modems in one easily-installed, easily-configured package.

The RocketModem uses a 36 MHz processor dedicated to processing asynchronous serial communications, thereby maximizing performance and minimizing CPU utilization commonly encountered with other multiport modem cards. That, and Comtrol's unique Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) technology, mean increased reliability, simplified installation, and no shared memory conflict. The RocketModem enables a wide variety of remote access applications, including dial-in access for mobile workers or telecommuters who require access to the corporate LAN or Intranet, while offering the enterprise convenient fax capabilities.
