D-Link DEV-301 ... (Customer premise equipment), this device is quick and easy to install. It provides seamless bridging from VDSL to Ethernet, allowing a personal computer or LAN (connected through a router/gateway) to connect to a VDSL line. This device provides a VDSL interface and a Fast Ethernet port for connection to a computer or Ethernet device.

With this Bridge Remote Unit (also called "VDSL modem"), you can access high-speed VDSL for smooth delivery of streaming media, video conferencing and media-rich Web surfing. Data transmission can be as high as 52Mbps downstream and 16Mbps upstream. The device delivers VDSL speeds at extended cable distance coverage. Depending on the quality of the copper cable (Cat 3, 4 or 5), your data throughput can be 5Mbps at 1, 500m, 10Mbps at 1, 200m and 15Mbps at 1, 050m. The DEV-30x devices can be installed very easily. It provides two RJ-11 ports, one connects to the VDSL line (wall socket), and the other to your normal phone. The RJ-45 port(s) plugs to your computer or Internet gateway. The DEV-30x also supports POTS traffic, including ISDN to allow coexistence of VDSL and telephone service over the same line. Analog voice communication is through the RJ-11 POTS port that can be connected to a telephone set.
