This is one modem that will not die. I have gone trough three differetn computers and the only original componant is my modem. Diamond have made a real hard wearing device here. It has suffered at my hands all sorts of abuse yet still goes on. The quality is good getting fast access times all for a good price. These ease of installing is ... a pleasure, not ton fiddlly in either win 98 or 95. This is a good quality robust product that really will last a life time of constant use. When this one dies I will by another. Which will not happen

Diamond Supra Max 56k PCI

I've been using the Diamond SupraExpress 56i pro for a year and a half, without any problems. It was easy to install. Even upgrading the driver was simple and trouble free. The modem's performance is good for downloads, normally over 4Kbits/sec maxing around 4.9Kbits/sec. I have found its performance for online gaming ... adequate, for example I ping around 200 on TFC.
Finally the modem is now very cheap to buy, it currently costs a little over £30.
It's not the fastest modem you can buy, but its reliable, cheap and its performance is good.
