I have this mobile connect unit which has been supplied to me through my work. Its not a bad bit of technology and has its uses. I only use it when i am away with work as it's not as fast as my broadband at home.

You need at lease two bars of signal strength to keep a constant connection if not then i would suggest putting it back in your laptop bag.

Its definately faster than dial up but alot slower than broadband. I tend to use it when i am away with work in hotels but i often find that the signal seems to be very low in most of the hotels i stay in! Could this be a conspiracy by the hotels so that you have to use their broadband at a cost? Probably not.

In my opinion its a handy item but from what i hear the new broadband dongles are faster and more like proper broadband. Hopefully they will update me with a newer version soon
