	Nationwide Building Society ... went overseas for medical treatment for a serious condition last year. I couldn t afford to have it treated in the UK. Nationwide were advised of this in advance but kept sending statements for my savings account to my old address. When the letters were returned, which ofcourse they would be! They locked me out of the internet back & made it imposible for me to pay bills via my savings account. Then they started charging late fees & unauthorised overdraft fees because i was unable to transfer funds into the account becasue they had blocked me from accessing it. 	Abbey National in general ... a first time buyer and very excited & nervous at the same time, I had a very bad experience with your move (read my other review on them - waste of time), anyhow... Like I was saying, im nervous and excited. Abbey put my mind at ease, made me feel comfortable and explained things to me in a language I could understand, I made an appointment with them and was happy from then on. I had initially done my own research and concluded that Abbey offer the best and most competitive mortgage out there, the bonus is that they paid £250 towards my solicitor s fee s, gave me a free valuation saving me at least £250, and they managed to get me onto a product where I escaped... 	The One Account ... have been very pleased with the One Account which we opened five years ago. Transfering our mortgage was a very easy process. The interest rate on our savings account was much lower than our mortgage interest rate, so it made a lot of sense to use this money to offset our mortgage. This is exactly what the One Account allows you to do. By keeping all money usually in your current account and/or savings accounts in the One Account instead, your interest on your mortgage is reduced.
