Newest Review: ... found some where to rent for the next 12 weeks, which I hoped, would be when I could move in. Well it took 13 weeks from start to finish. And the flat was empty. Well I made an offer for the flat of £35,000 it was accepted. (This was about 2 and a half years ago. Must be now worth about £50,000). Next I needed a mortgage. We have a mortgage with Bristol & West and we have found that their Call Centre is the worst that we have ever come across.

We have had to wait for more than 10 minutes before we could get to speak to someone.

So be prepared for a long wait!

I can only praise Bristol and West. I was having family problems with my future mother in law. And need to find a mortgage quick to buy a flat that hubby and I was interested in. It was a rather complicated storey. As hubby and me where not married at this time. Then mortgage could only be in my name as the company he worked for was a little bit unstable. I am most of the way through applying for a new mortgage, and because of my circumstances I am shifting my mortgage from the excellent service of Virgin One to Bristol and West. Their web site provides some very good detailed information about the types of mortgages that they have available. As anybody who has looked for a mortgage on line will know that this information is not always clearly presented. You can complete most of your application on line, which is bonus and saves a lot of effort on your part.
