Advantages: Good rate

Disadvantages: Only find the balance out once a year

I have only good things to say about the building society. Four years ago when we took out our first mortgage they were one of the few to touch us (amazingly as soon as we had one mortgage everyone was willing to lend to us!!!)

We had a great rate on a tracker, which has now end and reverted back to a Standard Variable Rate but this still is one of the best rates at the moment.

When we took the mortgage out, maybe we were lucky but there are no Early Repayment charges, which suits us just fine.

The staff are always helpful whenever we have a question and there are usually many to be asked. There communcation by post is great. Only one thing is I would like to be able to track our balance throughout the year, apart from just guestimating it or wiating for the annual statement.

Summary: Definately worth talking to these people
