Advantages: online abilities, debit transfers

My husband has an Egg credit card, and even with me as the supplemental card holder and written power of attorney, Egg WILL NOT speak to me. My husband is away frequently, and even when he is home, I handle all these matters. He hates doing that. Egg has him as the credit card holder and me as the supplemental card holder. They will not talk to me on the phone and refuse to accept the power of attorney always saying that it is due to the data protection laws. They take the data protection laws to the farthest extremes in that they won't honour a certified legal power of attorney. How more explicit could my husband be than a power of attorney. I can buy and sell property, open and close any loan credit cards or accounts. I am in an essence my husband to any other company, yet Egg think they are above the law. Strangely enough, if my husband were to pass Egg would require me to pay the loan in full. Yet they won't talk to me. They finally agreed to honour the power of attorney with me for WRITTEN corespondence. Unforntunatley, the person that recieved the paperwork must have lost or thrown out the power of attorney after that matter was resolved and never bothered to log it into the system. Egg can not find the power of attorney and want to send in another one. It is a very sensitive legal document that they have been careless with and my husband did not want to give them another one to lose again. He asked to speak to a manager and they were supposed to call back. We told the person that the managers NEVER call back. We were assured that they would and it is at least 5 months since than without a call back. Their customer service stinks. We even asked and they will not allow us to have the credit card in JOINT names.

Their interest rate has majorly gone up since we originally got the card. it was 9.9% and it now pushing the 13% mark.

The only good thing about them is that you can view the balance and charges on line at any t
ime as well as do a debit payment that will be applied to the account the next business day if you get it done before 2pm.

when I find another card that has the ease of online viewing and better interest rates we will be moving our account and it is a big account that we pay off in full and than charge back up again. they will lose a rather solid customer.

I hate them not talking to me too, afterall it is as much my money as it is his....mandxx
