Advantages: helpful, local, accommodating, understanding and flexible.

Disadvantages: slow to get things done.

My wife and I were expecting our first child when we approached them for a mortgage to furnish our new house and they gave us a 'Together Mortgage' which really got us started and that was 4 years ago now. We should have made the rate fixed rather than variable, but that was our mistake. I read another review which found them to be the total opposite of mine, but that is down to personal experience. We have only had good times with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a first time mortgage as some of the major lenders are very inflexible. Their investments and bank accounts are quite highly rated by some of the search engines and their experts. We live in one of the major cities in the UK and there is a local branch nearby which is very helpful if you need something doing on the account. TRY them....
