Advantages: good customer services, easy to use, now charging me less.

I have a flexible mortgae with Northern Rock. It was arranged for me by a broker, which meant I didn't have so much trouble with the paperwork. So far its all been very promising.

I have succesfully paid off several thousand pounds from the mortgae - it proved to be very simple and the customer service people I spoke to were very helpful.

They have dropped their interest rates in line with the bank of England - watching your mortgage getting smaller is a cheering thing.

They regularly send comprehensible statements as well as information about the company and its other activities, some of which have been quite interesting.

I would certainly recomend considering them if you are looking for a flexible mortgae. I would also recomend getting some free advice from an expert if you can - it makes life a lot easier.
