PCChips 810LMR: ... been using PC-Chips for years now and don't know why they keep coming under fire. I've only had about 2 motherboards ever fail and one of those was an, ahem, user induced error. This motherboard is now housing a 2GHz processor, 1 GB of memory and a 120GB hard diskwith DVD burner. And it's running like a little dream. The idea here is that it's everything to evry man (Or woman). Onboard ...

adriang Abit KA7-100
... this is one of the best of the old AMD Athlon slot-A motherboards. This is confirmed by the other reviews on this site, and also from some of the hardware review sites out there on the web. Abit have generally built motherboards for enthusiasts, and for several years, I have had an Abit BP6 motherboard, which is the only motherboard capible of running dual celeron processors. Something that Intel said was impossible. Some users had bad experiences with the BP6, I did not. So when Abit bought out their Athlon solution, with the KA7, and then followed with the KA7-100, it was the top of my list. When the positive reviews started to appear, that was the ...

Rob_B K7-S5A Motherboard Socket A
... so maybe there ARE faster motherboards out there, there ARE nicer looking ones, there ARE ones with more features but so what? no board i've EVER owned has been this much (dare i say it?) FUN!! This board does exactly what it says on the tin, fully featured with onboard souns, supports both sdr/ddr ram (useful if you want to update your existing system as you can buy DDR at a later date to save money) I've owned mine for months now and never had a problem, it will take cpu's upto AMD's new 2400+ and take easily take a GB of ram for futureproofness! It supports agp4x and with a bios update even allows you to overclock your processor like many hig...

Bezuk Asus A7V266-E
... may not exactly be the newest chipset on the block, but VIA's KT266A was one of the company's most successful products. Coinciding nicely with the release of the Athlon XP processor, and generally outperforming, or at least equalling the performance of the competing nVidia nForce chipset, at a much lower cost, the KT266A made up for the disappointing KT266 chipset released only months earlier. While it has since been surpassed by VIA's own KT333, and current or upcoming DDR-333 solutions from SiS and nVidia, the performance gained by moving over to one of these systems using a current Athlon XP processor is negligible. This is why KT266A powered motherb...
