	Gigabyte GA-8I865G775-G ... needed a cheap motherboard to put some basic parts together to build up a data recovery PC, little did I know that 2 years later I would be using it as my main computer, and this motherboard has done a fantastic job. Originally the thought was I need atleast one type of each connector as I may have to recover from SATA or PATA, floppy, CD, DVD, etc. I didn;t need much video processing so internal would do as would basic sound. So I got this. Slapped in a basic PATA Hard drive and went away. 2 years later my existing main PC went down so I transfered lots of parts out of there into this, adn to be fair this is one very good computer. 	EVGA nForce 680i SLI ... board was top end just over 2 years ago. As such it was aimed at the enthusiast who was willing to put some work in to setting up their system. Specifications are listed above, so I ll give you a shakedown on the realities of the board. I ll list the cons first, you ll see why at the end. Con s No e-SATA Memory controller is suspect, RAM shouldn t be run above 2.1v. Make sure you check the EVGA website for a list of suitable RAM. Should replace the TIM on both north and south bridges as well as the mosfets. Reliability of recent batches of EVGA 680i s had been suspect. 	Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 ... m one of those people who could be called a "Casual" Gamer. I don t have time for computer games, and I don t really have much interest, but I do like to find time for the occasional RPG or Strategy Game, and I also like enjoy Flight Simulators. Because of this, I find myself needing to have a computer that if above the average for normal use, but can t justify (and can t afford anyway) anything like the sort of high performance gaming systems that are out there.
