P4S8x This motherbord it a nice peice manafacturing alltough it is not much drfrent for my reivew on the other p4s800 the one with out the serial ATA the only difrence with this bord is that in comparisn to the the other p4s800 is this one comes with serial AtA and is just as reliable as the other bords of the same make. this is well wort getting especial if you are lopokign to get a serial ATA hard drive but other wise i would recomend spending less and getiing one with out the serial ATA this is all ia can sat on this bord. All machines are being tested in a normal office environment. Results Test machine one. Mother started causing blue screen errors on start up. Changed all components and reinstalled window still no change. Motherboard Dead Lasted a total or one month. (Not acceptable) Test machine two. The mother board decide that it didn t like its IDE ports and wouldn t recognise the hard drives. Lasted 3 months. (An improvement but still not accessible) Test machine three. 	Asus P4S8X-X ... In the case of the P4S8X-X it's the SiS 648 that is at the heart of the matter. It includes support for Intel's Hyper-Threading Technology, accomodates Intel P4 processors up to and over 3.06GHz, it support sAGP 8X videocards, hence the 8X in the model name, it has an S/PDIF out connector, supports USB 2.0, and up to 533MHz Frontside bus. So alas no support for the latest of the Intel processors that support 800 Mhz busspeeds, and this is, on paper the major disadvantage this exact mainboard has compared to other Asustek offerings with different chipsets.
