Elitegroup nForce6M-A (V2.0) ... hard drive and CD drive, but only ONE IDE port. That usually isn t a problem because most hard drives are all SATA, but if you have more than one old drive you want to hook up, there will be a problem. Overall, this isn t the best motherboard you can get. Gigabyte offers a lot more motherboards with more features, for the same, or even lower, price. I would recommend getting your hands on a newer motherboard that supports AM3 for AMD Phenom, or another that supports Intel s quadcore CPU s. P.S. Even though V3.0 is already out, ECS still offers drivers, BIOS, manuals, etc. for this motherboard on their website. *Version 3.0 is already available for this Motherboard*... Asus M2N-SLI ... recently used this motherboard in a home build and was very impressed. It is an incredibly well performance motherboard and fully featured. Taking a socket AM2 or AM2+ processor, this motherboard will take the dual core athlon range, some older athlon/sempron processors and with the latest Bios updates it will take the Phenom line of CPUs. Unfortunately there has been no sign of a BIOS update allowing the use of the shiny new Phenom II processors with a much improved architecture and a heftier pricetag but we can hope. As it is, this is a very good board for an older dual or quad processor by AMD. I have been using an Athlon 64 X2 since day one and have had no problem... MSI K9N Neo-F V3 ... use this motherboard on a regular basis at work, and it s great. The board is reliable, stable and really well laid out. We are running it with an AMD 64X2 4200 processor and it works a treat. The system is very stable, although I haven t tried to overclock it, and the BIOS is very easy to navigate. I have always found MSI boards well made, the components are neatly laid out and all the SATA, PATA, USB etc, connections are easy to reach. The only thing to note - which is not a problem if you are setting up a new system - is that the board only has 1 IDE chanel.
