I have had my KT7 now for around 6 months and I can honestly say this is a great piece of kit! For around £100 you get a superb motherboard which has obviously been made for overclockers - the KT7 was the first motherboard to my knowledge to include active cooling on the northbridge chipset which is an excellent idea for combatting FSB overclocking related heat problems! There are plenty of fan sockets placed around the board, a brilliant little heat probe under the CPU socket to watch those temps, 5 PCI slots and an AGP slot also. Everything is well layed out on the board with nothing obstructing access to the RAM slots or IDE slots like some motherboards, and it also comes with a superb manual detailing all the tiny details of both the board and the BIOS. Incidentally the BIOS holds a million and one little tweaks for overclocking your setup to the max, everything from RAM interleaving, which is like RAID for RAM - to FSB or multiplier overclocking which can be achieved with ultimate ease. Installation was a breeze for me, all the hardware worked fine but I have read of a few compatibility issues with this motherboard and certain geforce video cards. Overall this is an excellent board and I would whole heartedly recommend it for both Athlon or Duron use, although its probably worth looking at the KT7A revision now though for the increased FSB overclocking capability.
Fantastic board, supporting SocketA athlons and Durons. Bargain price, goes to a massive 1.5Gig of 133 RAM. Great for a server, and Ive found this board immensely useful for overclocking. Needs patching for win95 or 98, but SE does it itself. Never a problem, and deffinately a bargain buy. Got all the slots I need to run my small network server, and the ability to run at speeds to make one hell of a kick-ass games machine. Wow. 10 out of 10! Theres no board on the market that will beat the KT7 at this price.
