Abit NF7-S:
... board is still one of the best Socket-A Motherboards money can buy. The nForce 2 Ultra-400 Chipset is great for overclocking, and this board can hit front side buses of 220+ with ease. Whilst if you want a slightly higher (10-20mHz) fsb a DFI board would suit you better, this board performs the same at lower speeds. The Northbridge fan can sometimes be a little whiney, but that is easily replaced. The heatsink m... Read the full review: Still one of the best by acaseward |

Abit NF7-S ... the temperature. This is very useful if you are going for a quiet system, but still need to max the CPU out on Unreal 2003. *Conclusion: Basically this is the best AMD board out there for overclocking without a doubt. Incredi bly stable, fast and hardly any chance of destroying the CPU. Highly recommended!! Even for the End-User this board is perfect, although probably a little expensive. Abit constantly support the board too, they literally release a new BIOS every month or so compared to my old gateway motherboard which had 1 driver update in its lifetime. The board has everything you will ever need and more (quick list) - *FSB 400 (support for Barton 32... Read the full review: Overclock to your hearts content by nanoblade |

Abit KT7A ... good thing, Easy to use BIOS featuring easy overclocking support, 3 RAM slots is a welcome sight, as most of the boards I looked at when buying mine only had 2. Bad Points: Standard BIOS is somewhat limited, but a flash is no problem, and sharing the ISA with the 5th PCI slot is a little annoying if your computer is a bit full like mine is, but no big problem really. General Comments: The Abit KT7A KT133A is an all round good motherboard. Reliable, well built, and from a reasonably well known manufacturer. The price isn't as scary as it looks when you consider how much you're getting for your money. All things considered, this is a bit of a beast :) ... Abit KG7-RAID ... mainly for internet use and making my own music mixes using Sonar which can use a lot of resources. Its a shame it will not take the new Barton core CPU then it will be a flying machine. Its quite good now though. Although the board is showing its age compared to more modern boards, it is still good and I would have another one anytime. I expect if I get a new replacement I will get a modern Abit board and set this one up as a server using the RAID. It would make a good storage / backup machine. Just remember to fit at least a 450 to 500 watt psu if you set up both RAID channels. I find with 2 HDD,s and a cd writer and dvd rom that a good 300watt is ok. One word ...
