Abit BE6-II ... is one of my favourite motherboards, for the slot Pentium II & III chips, as it is a great board, with a load of really good features for the over clocker. Firstly, the board is available in two flavours. One with a High Point UDMA 66 Hard disk controller, and the other with a UDMA 100 controller, giving you to get the most from today's newest Hard disks. For the over clocker, being an ABIT board, it features their wonderful Bios configuration system, which allows you to change, clock multipliers, bus speeds and voltages through the bios. Abit KT7-RAID ... continues to be the one and only when it comes to boards that can overclock today’s processors. The KT7 Raid is no exception, Abit’s famous soft menu III is included and has some pretty impressive features in order to get the most out of your CPU. The Socket A chips have a very high overclocking potential especially the Duron. So this type of motherboard is exactly what you need in order to get it to the top. On entering the BIOS and the soft menu III you will notice that this board will let you change the voltage the FSB (front side bus) and the multiplier. Abit BE6-II ... bought this board in Dec '99 (Version 1 board with HPT 366 UDMA chip)when I had a PII-350. Even then it was cool as I could increase the bus speed by 1Mhz increments to reach 433Mhz nice and stable. I then Sold the proccessor and bought a slot 1 PIII-750. Even though it was a BX based board, with the latest BIOS (Revision UH) it will go up to 1Ghz as it supports the lower voltages. I've got the proccessor up to 863Mhz stable with a slot 1 Golden Orb cooler. As I added new drives I enabled the on board UDMA-66 controller. This was the main pain in the butt as the controller shares an IRQ with slot 3 and 5 (I think!), then there is slot 2 which shares with...
