It's a noisy fan but cools the cpu very well. I also added two fans to the front of the case and two fans to the back of the case to move air in the front and out the back of the case. I have 3 computers at home all with asus a7a266 motherboards with 1.4 gig proccessors fans in mid tower cases. When I turned the computer on the cpu was detected as a 1000 MHZ.I had to go to cmos and set the multiplier to 10.5 to get it to read that it was a 1.4 gig cpu.The next time I turned it on it loaded with the correct cpu speed.
