I have 3 computers at home all with asus a7a266 motherboards with 1.4 gig proccessors fans in mid tower cases. When I turned the computer on the cpu was detected as a 1000 MHZ.I had to go to cmos and set the multiplier to 10.5 to get it to read that it was a 1.4 gig cpu.The next time I turned it on it loaded with the correct cpu speed. The next problem encounterd was the ram would not work with two ram cards plugged in.On the asus site I found a tec bulletin that list ram that has been tested in this board. When left running for extended periods of time the power light would flash indicating a problem.The cpu was overheating so I replaced the cpu fan ...
