AMD Cool 'n' Quiettechnology enables processor frequency and voltage switching to reduce power and fan speed.

The K8N-E supports AMD Cool 'n' Quiet! Technology, which monitors system operation and automatically adjusts CPU voltage and frequency for a cool and quiet environment.

The ALC850 has six channels of 16-Bit DAC, a stereo 16-Bit ADC, and an AC97 2.3 compatible multi-channel audio designed for PC multimedia systems. The CODEC can also automatically detect and identify what types of peripherals are plugged into the audio I/O jacks and notifies users of inappropriate connection. No more confusion of Line-in, Line-out and Mic jacks.

The on-board LAN controller is a highly integrated Fast Ethernet controller. It is enhanced with an ACPI management function to provide efficient power management for advanced operating systems.
