Asus
I am a system builder who builds custom built Computers for various business clients.
I offer a high standard and a reliable range of computer systems.
Question.
So Does the P4S800 meet my high standards.
Well I spent many months looking for the perfect mother board. So I decided to try a major high street shop. I then went on to purchase one of each of the Intel p4 478 socket motherboards form this store.
Next Step was to build them up as usual
So I created a test environment where I would buld and run various test on the computers.
Virus checks (High memory usage)
Anti Spy ware scans (High memory usage)
Graphics testing program (Tests all components)
Test machines where not turned off through duration of test.
All machines are being tested in a normal office environment.
Results
Test machine one.
Mother started causing blue screen errors on start up.
Changed all components and reinstalled window still no change.
Motherboard Dead
Lasted a total or one month. (Not acceptable)
Test machine two.
The mother board decide that it didn't like its IDE ports and wouldn't recognise the hard drives.
Lasted 3 months. (An improvement but still not accessible)
Test machine three.
Died after one week of use still no apparent reason as the why.
This time I decided to try replacing the dead board with the P4S800.
This machine with its new mother board is still running happily today. Almost a year later
Answer
Yes the P4S800 is a very reliable and cost efficient board which I am sure would meat most computer manufactures standards.
The P4S800 as I have shown above is one of the most reliable motherboards on the market.
The other thing I like about all Asus boards is the way they always clearly mark there boards with instructions or indications on which way cables and other switches etc, should be placed,
The board has most of the same features as other boards and is a reliable and cheep.

The board is not only reliable but also cheep. A great mix in my book. It offers the latest features that you would expect to find in all modern motherboards. The support that Asus offers is limited but this is only because the products are reliable enough that they don't often require support. You get supplied with all the drivers and cables required.
Summary: Great Board
