Nothing realy ,The only difference is , the max hass an extra lan hookup ,and an extra heat cooling pipe, and of course the price .What i realy like about both boards, is yes, both boards can go solo, or dule core, or quad core, nice, its up to you. cameron-lite Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
... motherboard that has earned it s spot in my cramped computer case. This board is fantastic - it s available online for £80, but i d pay up to £100. It s hard to put this board into a category of who would use it because it has so many great features but lacks some that a real enthusiast would require. It supports Intel based processors up to a core 2 quad which is overkill for most applications anyway - if you re looking at an I7 processor, you re going to be need a much more expensive board. Advantages: DDR2 & DDR3 can be used, although not at the same time. DDR2 speeds are 1200mhz max (overclocked) or 1066mhz (no overclocking). DDR3 speeds are 1333mhz max. 8GB o...

hallryu Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4
... have owned this board for a few months now and I have mixed feelings about it to be honest. It certainly well known that the X48 platform is not the easiest platform for over-clocking quad core CPU s. Wish I had read that before I bought it! I have a Q9650 running on my board, it has a reasonably high VID of 1.275v so runs cooler than most at higher VCore settings but conversely it requires more core voltage to get to higher over-clocks. I can get my Q9650 to 4GHz stable on this board, with 1.393v at the core. I wouldn t go much higher to be honest as I would be risking CPU degradation. If you want to over-clock quads then I recommend a good P45 chipset board such as...

Scotty9 Asus P4P800-E Deluxe
... easy to use software enabling even the novice to overclocking, the ability to increase the voltage to the processor and memory to boost your system performance. I overclocked my processor from 3GHz to 3.2GHz and whilst the option was there to go further I did not want to since I felt the optimal performance/heat had been reached. The board will fit an ATX case but if I remember right some of the screw hole markings were not well marked. It was a bit annoying during installation but nothing you couldn t work out in a small space of time. I think this board offered good value for money since it offered a lot of features but in reality it was let down by its reliability....
