Advantages: cheap and good for current technology
Disadvantages: soon to be obsolete
I myself use this motherboard and its very good for its price (£30-£40) and i use it with a 4850 ATi GFX card and a Q6600 Quad core processor overclocked to 3.2GHz.
Now this is pretty much your bog standard LGA DDR2 Mobo with Dual and quad core support and i reckon that with anyone starting out with making their own machine that this is very good entry level item, It is small but it is also cramped as i had problems fitting my artic cooling pro 7 onto it but also getting one of the power cables in (4pin) due to it being right next to the processor, but after a bit of effort and care it fits and works perfectly
Now this is motherboard has a FSB of 1333 which is all you need currently as any more and you will be using DDR3 ram which at the moment is way too exspensive and unnessacary,
This mobo is great for current technology as its all that you need to play all modern games, Just be warned that this type of motherboard will soon be obsolete with intels Nehalem cores already arriving (able to be usefull with DDR3) and DDR3 prices dropping rapidly you will soon need an upgrade But it is a great mobo for its price and i would reccomend it for anyone in a tight cash situation
Summary: good for its price but it wont last long
