For upgrading, DualDDR is a definite plus, allowing people with older DDR-SDRAM to reuse their modules such that they can compete with newer, faster RAM. Upgrading from an SDR-SDRAM Socket-A Athlon system would yield a marked improvement in performance (since virtually everything goes through the memory and the faster it is, the better).
