... until I moved house. They wanted to charge £30.50 to change my address.
Worked out cheaper to let the policy run its remaining month, not renew, and start a fresh policy with my new address from today.
Not sure I follow their logic. Must be easier for them to change my address on a screen, than to run through the whole proccess of issuing me with a new quote.

Tesco Car Insurance ... and so I decided to let it run to the end so that I collected my yearly no claims bonus. I phoned Tesco customer service to arrange cancellation of policy after the final payment was taken. They agreed to this....but they didn't take any action whatsoever. INSTEAD They let it auto-renew for another year at the end and continued to take payments from my account. They didn't respond to the letters I wrote, and were extremely rude when I spoke to them on the phone. They denied they had received the cancellation request in the first place, even refusing to check their call history (supposedly they record every call for training purposes!!!) Elephant.co.uk ... parked, empty car was reversed into in front of me and several witnesses. I have main and legal cover with Elephant. Fourteen months later I am still waiting for any tangible action from Elephant to get admission of liability and recover my excess and expenses - all they do is wait for the third party, who clearly have no motive to do anything. They have taken no legal action - becuase that incurs cost. I have not renewed with them, obviously. Avoid Elephant at all cost - complete rip off merchants.... Direct Line ... car was hit by a careless driver whilst parked outside my house. Direct Line had the car towed away very quickly to the garage of their choice, who later told me that the repairs would be £2300, so the car was a write off. Direct Line then sent out their engineer, who said the car was worth ... £2300! Quite a coincidence ... have pointed out to DL that the car is worth at least a thousand more than that, but they refuse to budge because of minor vandal scratches to the bodywork (for which they say they've deducted over £800 from its value).
