Swiftcover.com ... m sure Swift Cover are great.......if you never need to make a claim. I have made 2 claims in the past year, one for having my car stolen off my drive and another for having my car driven into - both not my fault. Both claims have proved, stressful, time consuming and on the whole not a pleasant experience. Swiftcover do not have enough people to answer calls, but do not reply to emails either, so are pretty much uncontactable, unless you have a couple of hours a day to sit on hold and be passed around to staff who know nothing of your claim. Tesco Car Insurance ... have been with Tescos car insurance for just over two years now and have been very happy with the service provided and cost. I pay annually by direct debit, which again I have had no problem with. Also this time when I re-newed it they sent me a £20 gift card to spend in store. I had only just passed my test when I originally went with them and looked around alot before I settled with an insurance company but Tescos gave me the best deal by far at the time. Since originally joining I have rang up and changed my details twice, once to add more millage and then again to add someone else on my insurance, and the staff on the other end of the phone have been very friendly ... General Comments ... car insurance fair? I don t think so after my recent experience. After being rear ended twice in two months by 2 careless drivers, i am the one left out of pocket once again. My first unfortunate incident was in a queue of traffic where everyone was stationary in front and behind when all of a sudden the driver behind decided he wanted to go through me even though i hadn t moved and neither had the other 15 cars in front of me! The second was a driver on a motorway who decided to change lanes and not paying attention to the slowing traffic ahead slammed into the back of my 6 week old bumper!
