Advantages: easy to use the online quote form

Disadvantages: not a good deal,expensive

I have recently bought a new car and after being bombarded with television adverts promoting the AA.com website I decided to give them a try.

The main them behind the advert is that' The AA will get you the best deal on your insurance'.

I phoned the majority of the car insurance companies in my local Yellow Pages and visited a few websites for on line quotes.

I think the advert currently being shown advertising 'the best deal' is very misleading. Of all the companies I phoned the AA was the second highest and the best quote they could give me was about a third higher than the one I accepted (which was from Direct Line)

I would not recommend that anybidy bothers to get a quote rfom the AA - A lot of people I know have tried to get quotes from the AA and I do not know anybody who has got a good deal and cheaper insurance.
