I have read lots of bad reviews about Admiral car insurance. I have been with them since i was 18, i am in my 3rd year with them now and in june will probably renew with them again as they are by far the cheapest. My mate has a 1.25 fiesta on a P reg and he is with a different insurance provider, he is 21 and his insurance is £2,000, I had, untill last week, a 1.4 Fiesta Black, limited editon on a 53 plate and my insurance was £700. Last week i bought 1.6 Renault Scenic on a 55 plate and added my girlfriends name to my insurance and it only cost £95 more which is a lot less than other companies.

I see some people complaning about the customer service. I phoned them up and its the call centre is based in Wales, although me coming from Essex, the welsh accent can bit quite hard to understand its better than being through to India or some where impossible to understand. I asked them to send a cover note of my insurance to go to the garage where i was buying the car from so they could go to the post office to get the car taxed for me. I spoke to some guy called Stephen, he sounded really dippy and i came off the phone thinking has that been done properly? but i got a cal 2 days later from the garage to say he had the document he needed. So again i had no complaints there.

Luckily for me i have never had to make claim, so unfortunately i cant comment on that and hopefully i wont have too. But by reading some of the others they dont seem so good on that front, but untill i have to make one i can comment on that sorry.

But from my experince of them so far i have no complains what so ever
