Have been with Admiral insurance for 2 years now, on first year never had a problem atall, other than when i changed car they wanted to charge me £49.99, however after refusing to pay and going through to a few different departments this charge was dropped and everything was fine, so upon renewal admiral being £700 cheaper i decided to stay with them! BIG MISTAKE - its been problem since day one & i cannot wait for May for me to leave. Driving home from shopping in September, someone ran into me on a round about (6 Witness's it was not my fault) .. at first when i called they were very happy to listen but extremley rude when it came to me saying i would rather them deal with my dad as i wasnt too sure much about it (Dads on my insurance as named driver - so not due to data protection), refused to do this, so went ahead & discussed claim. Recieved a courtesy car 5 days later (a small ka - big difference to my vauxhall vectra which needs to fit a wheel chair & a buggy in) .. however thinking i wouldnt have the car long i went ahead with it... Was hounded with phone calls (3-4 per week) asking me to go over details & send witness details. I posted details to them SEVEN times and to this day say they have still not recieved them. Admiral then put me over to Albanny (apparently a sister company) & then had to disccuss everything with them again.. FINALLY middle of October recieve a letter with a payout cheque, for 1/4 of what car was worth, call them immediatley & they said it was because they had put me over to other company & to wait for a cheque from them, few days later..recieve a cheque from them so finally thought everything was sorted & went ahead and cashed cheques....

THAT WOULD PUT MOST PEOPLE OFF ALLREADY HOWEVER THE WORST IS YET TOO COME:

Beginning of November days after adding my new car to the policy i recieve a phone call claiming i am owe admiral £2800 as they did not mean to send cheque because albanny was supose to! I am still going through legal actions to fight against this & would not recommend anyone to get insurance from them (EVEN IF ITS THOUSANDS CHEAPER!)
