There’s one question I get asked a lot.

“Does KITT cost a load of money to insure?”

You bet.
It took me three days to list the optional extras and forget those dumba** boy racers with their GTI’s – I’ve got Turbo Boost and that makes that yearly premium sky high!

So I called around and although I couldn’t work out a magic Dave discount, I did find some damned cheap insurance.

Admiral – they’re a bunch of guys in Wales (just near France I think) and they’ve got some good insurance prices.

OK, so my annual premium is still £1678 with my full no claims discount (damn that Turbo Boost!) but that’s still better than the £3000 I was paying with ‘another’ insurance company.

You can get insured over the phone (I called from KITT to make sure he knew all the details) and you can get instant cover!
Sweet.

If you go and have an accident then you'll be OK - they'll get things taken care of and you can even have another car while they're getting yours fixed (fully comprehensive customers that is).
I don't want to drive around in anything other than KITT though so I'll be driving really carefully.

The lady I spoke to was sooooo nice, Jill Murphy will go nuts when she finds out I’ve been a little over-friendly with another woman.

So, get yourself on the ‘Dog and bone’ (I learned that today) and give them a call.
