I was very pleased with the insurance quote I received from Admiral - the cheapest by far and so I happily signed up. However, having been the injured party in an accident lately - I've been on the receiving end of some frustrating customer service. Although Admiral offer me a courtesy car while mine is being repaired, they didn't mention that I would have to run around organising a cover note for it myself - they are not prepared to contact their own approved repairers themselves to make life easier for me! (Not to mention that it's taken 3 weeks to even get to this stage!). What makes things just about bearable is that the everyone I've ever spoken to at Admiral have always been very polite. I'd recommend them if you're only interested in how much you have to pay - but not if you're after good customer care when things go wrong.
