I signed up to admiral this year because I assumed they were cheap, appearing on a price comparison site as notably cheaper than all the others. On phoning them (online was not an option) I was greeted by a friendly girl who proceed to process my quote. Its at this stage Admiral add on the IPT (insurance premium tax) bumping the price up to the ...

Admiral are pathetic and are at war with Norwich Union who are stealing their business. Admiral employees seem to have a sub standard education and yet try to say they give superior customer service.
Admiral who are the owners of Confused .com comapre the market to find the cheapoest quote usually amoungst the brands they own such as Elephant but never against Direct Line .
They will also refer you to an independant company who do searches of smaller insurance cos if you get a beetr quote from NU so bitter is their battle.
They pay staff derisory amounts of money while Henrt Englehart and the boys rake it in at the top

Hi, I have just received a combined ppolcy quote from Admiral, I probably will take it. If you were mis-sold you may well be able to recover compensation either via your legal expenses cover on the car policy, or perhaps using legal expenses cover via household insurance. Might also get remedy via Finacial Ombudsman Service, but takes a year or more!

Admiral are an excellent car insurance company with a good reputation in the marketplace. I am not with them anymore but used to be up un till recently when I found a cheaper quote they could not match. Despite this I would have no reservations about recommending this insurer to others. Whenever I rang the customer service ...

Beware of using Albany Assist (working for Admiral) when making a claim. They are a bunch of procedural, time wasters, who dont give a damn about you and your claim. They will not help and will be very stern with you when you call them. I have been claiming for 9 months for minor damage to my vehicle and have got nowhere. If you choose to use Admiral, and need to claim dont go down the Albany route. In fact ask NOT to use them and deal only with Admiral.

Admiral Car Insurance is consistantly one of the cheapest car insurers around. I have renewed my policy with them for the last three years. I must admit that when the initial renewal notice comes through the price is never the best, however, with a little bit opf time spent getting a quote from the internet and then ringing Admiral themselves I ...

ADMIRAL MULTICAR INSURANCE - BEWARE!!!! My husband and I both had our car insurance with Admiral, so when they announced their new multicar policies, we signed up saving a lot of money. However, my husband has recently had an accident which was not his fault, but as the other driver was uninsured, it has become one battle ...

I have read lots of bad reviews about Admiral car insurance. I have been with them since i was 18, i am in my 3rd year with them now and in june will probably renew with them again as they are by far the cheapest. My mate has a 1.25 fiesta on a P reg and he is with a different insurance provider, he is 21 and his insurance is £2,000, I had, untill ...

Avoid ADMIRAL's renewal people when you're cancelling! I recently found a cheaper quote. When I rang Admiral to cancel they persuaded me to let them see if they could match the new quote, they asked to check my details and in doing so found that I had not told them 5 years ago about a 3 pts fine. They are now demanding I pay them a few hundred pounds (even if I am leaving them) in accumulated charges as they should have been told when it happened. Surely this oversight doesn't cost THEM anything now?? I haven't had any claims. IF ONLY I hadn't given them the chance to quote. Moral: just leave them!

Want a CCJ against you? Then take out Admiral car insurance! This is what happened to me after an accident last year. To cut a long story short, the accident wasn't my fault but Admiral dragged out the claim, at one time told me they were waiting for settlement. Months later still not settled and I get a county court summons from the other party for costs. Told by Admiral they would deal with it and not to worry - they did nothing so three weeks later I get a CCJ against me! Nice letter that! Contacted Admiral, they paid the other fella off, paid back my excess. After more discussion gave me back my no-claims and said as it was paid it wouldn't affect me in any way. AS IF!!! Refused business credit card, letters from Debt agencies offering help - I wish I could go on! UNRESOLVED!

I would avoid Admiral at all costs! I strongly urge people to avoid this company as they fail on ALL counts:- 1) I insured with them for around 15 years paying regularly. During this time I never had any claims myself, the one time someone broke into my car and I asked them about about claiming they said they would not be able to offer me ...

When I had my insurance through Admiral in 2003 I had an accident where I was forced off the road by another vehicle swerving into my lane. My car was out of action and I still needed to get to work. Admiral advised not to hire a car in case they could not claim the hire costs back. When I claimed for loss of earnings they said ...

I think the only people who would be impressed by Admiral are those that havn't had to claim. Yes they are cheap, but if you need to claim they drag things out for months! They will say they didn't receive documents you have sent, then offer you less than the car is worth. I ended up with several hundred pounds less than my car was worth. I ...

Watch out for their `spare parts clause? (tucked at the back of the policy document on page 26, item 11.) This clause says that in the event of a claim they will not payout for your optional extras! What this means in real terms is that if your car has any optional extras fitted like alloy wheels, uprated sound system, body kit or even ...

Here we go... OK, the chances are you're only going to write a review if you want to gripe and I am no exception. So I will try to be balanced at the end. I am currently in dispute with them (just before my renewal which has advantages and disadvantages) about backdating my No Claims Bonus (NCB). My NCB was lost while a claim made ...

I was very pleased with the insurance quote I received from Admiral - the cheapest by far and so I happily signed up. However, having been the injured party in an accident lately - I've been on the receiving end of some frustrating customer service. Although Admiral offer me a courtesy car while mine is being repaired, they didn't ...

Several years ago I insured my car with Admiral car insurance and I was, like many of the other comments on this page, disappointed with the company. When I insured my car with Admiral the quote they offered me was by far the cheapest so went with them. At first everything seemed alright, I paid the premium and drove around happy in the ...

Four years ago, aged 21 with a three year old 1.6 litre car, my insurance was £900 (and that was cheap); a year later, it had fallen to £800. For my third year I found Admiral and while my renewal quote was again £800, all other quotes were greater and most were over £1,000, Admiral asked me how £620 sounded? Pleasantly surprised, I ...

I did many on line quotes & finally settled on this bunch of slime bags thinking their price was best suited to my situation. I have an E reg car which although old, has been wonderfully maintained hence slim chance of breaking down. However also, as things go, being an old car should it be stolen / written off in an accident then although it runs ...

I have always insured my car with Admiral, and have found them to be excellent. Being 19 when I bought my car, and having had one accident already, I expected that my premium would be huge, but Admiral were by far the most competitive, quoting me pretty much half what all the other companies in the 'phone book were quoting (400 quid fully ...
