Other quotes we had were quite expensive in comparison and we would of had to take out two policies one for the property and liabilities and one for the trustees indemnity insurance. We didnt have to pay for the review or quote so all in all it was good value and fits with our management group policy. Ansvar are a dedicated Charity and Church Insurance company and they deal with insurance brokers who help find out what you need. We had their surveyor round to see our premises and he was very helpful and reasonable - a must when, as a non-profit organisation, we have to maximise the use of our funds for our beneficiaries. Ansvar was consistently the cheapest insurance company, for me, for many many years. By many hundreds of pounds. They're not a household name and don't seem to advertise - which is perhaps what keeps their costs down so much? They specialise in people who don't drink. So if you're prepared to sign on the dotted line that you're an abstainer (goodness knows how they check!!) you need to check these people out. I wouldn't say their customer service was brilliant, but the only time I had to put in a claim (darned joyriders!) they were fine.
