Budget Insurance Company

Budget has a range of insurance products available. I will be concentrating on Budget Car Insurance as they are the insurers I have at the minute. When I bought my new car (a Porsche Boxster) I was worried about getting insurance as the car is group 17 and Im only 25. Although as a woman I thought I would get it a bit cheaper I found this wasn't the case. I used various online search sites to find the best cover but found confused.com to be the best. After being with Budget for a year, i had a rediculous renewal prive which was about 5 times the cost. I changed insurance providers. However, as I was not aware of the need to tell them that i had cancelled. They continued to take monthly direct debits from my account. Fortunately i noticed in the first month and cancelled immediately. But it was too late and £124 had already been debited. What annoyed me further was the inclusion of payment protection and legal cover on top which I had not agreed to previously. Dont touch this company. My dad took out house insurance with them, he was paying them monthly through his bank about 8months into the premium he cancelled due to finacial problems. He had payed them about £170 up to this point and not made any claims. He then started recieving letters from them saying he he had to pay a £82 cancellation fee. We contacted them they said it must be payed as its in the small print. My dad is a old age pensioner disabled and on benefits. They didnt care they said you ticked the box on the online application. They then started sending threatning letters from a debt collecting agency. They sent sent another letter yesterday saying the agency are calling at his house he is worried sick. They are bullies. Many other people on these sites I have since found out have had similar experiences.

*Note to all* Sorry I have put this in the motor insurance section thinking it was travel insurance! Sorry! However much you want to save money when it comes to having the holiday you look forward to all year round, get the insurance right and you won't regret it. We took out an insurance policy this year to go for a summer holiday. Budget insurance came out ridiculously cheap, so we didn't hesitate to take up the policy. I went with this company last year due to them being the cheapest insurer on gocompare.com (for my car). It was £478 for 3rd party,fire and theft, on my old VW Polo. At the start I found them okay to deal with but that is probably because i was a new customer etc and they wanted to keep me sweet! However, I have no problem with foreign people, but they were all I got to speak to on the phone and I know its not their fault but I couldnt understand what they were saying too well and this lead to many problems.
