Churchill Insurance

I have today renewed my car insurance with churchill so I thought why not do a little write up on it! Perfect timing! I have now been with churchill for 2 years for my car insurance and 1 year for my house insurance. I am a big believer in shopping around and making sure I get the best deal, I was suprised that for 2 years now churchill have been cheaper, which is great and result in less hassle swapping. Unfortunately on the cashback websites that I use I couldn't find churchill so I couldn't get any cashback by shopping online. For 3 years on the trot now I have had my insurance with Churchill who have been fantastic to me. From all the quotes online they have never turned out with the cheapest quote at all. Instead it has been on the phone where they have offered me the best price quotes for car insurance all the time. There has been a few concerns though when I had a car accident they were not exactly helpful as I expected. I used to call them up about them taking my car away and having a look at it to see if it is a write off or not. This is a half baked company.Forwarded my NCD to them then told me they never received it,phoned and some guy on the other end told me to phone back a week later as they still had some backlog to process. Following week I phoned to be told they still hadn`t found my NCD,later that week I received a letter that they were cancelling my policy, again I phoned to no avail.I eventually told them just go ahead with the cancelation. On checking my credit card statement found fraudulent transactions and as Churchill was my last transaction its not hard to put 2 and 2 together....BEWARE People. Churchill is the worst companty I have ever dealt with. They have taken 15 months to fail to settle a claim against a third party who drove in to my stationary car and got me involved in a potential court case which they now threaten to drop leaving me hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Steer very clear. The dog does not say 'Oh yes!' When it actually matters.

I have held my motor insurance with churchill for around 3 years now and have never had a problem with them. They have always been the cheapest ive found (even with moneysupermarket.com and comparethemarket.com etc). they have never provided me with a bad service and when i wanted to add breakdown cover to my policy they were extremely helpful and polite and guided me through what was the best cover to have. Churchill have always been top of my list as i had them recomended to me by a friend, however i didnt think i would stay with them for as long as i have.
