I have been with Direct Line for many years and had no problems, but then again I hadn't had an accident. I had a non fault accident last September, all was going well until (because of their attitude) I chose not to use the recommended repairer, I told Direct Line about this and they were fine about me using another garage. Well what a mistake that was, I took it to Chipping Sodbury Motors who quoted to repair the vehicle including an "initial pull on a jig". I have been on my partners car insurance for years, but due to this I never gained any no claims bonus as I was a named driver, so after having a bad accident last May I got my own car and had a look around to see which car insurance would suit me. Cheesed off with being put onto Automatic Renewal even though I have phoned them to stop it. I had been a Direct Line customer for many years and at first they were competively priced which encouraged me to switch house buildings and contents and vehicle breakdown cover to them as well as motor insurance. However, as their premiums started to rise well above the rate of inflation each year, I tried looking elsewhere and found DL were no longer a good deal.
