Speaking from personal experience I have no complaints about Direct Line (Direct Line)

Advantages: Cheap, efficient, quick to sort things out

Disadvantages: Seems not all areas have the same level of service

Having read some of the comments on here about dissatisfaction with Direct Line, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps staff in different areas of the country offer a better or worse service than others.

Personally I cannot praise the efficiency of Direct Line enough. When my two children were old enough to drive this company gave the best quote and since then the whole family have taken out insurance with them.

Having had two claims in the family fairly recently, on both occasions Direct Line gave an excellent service. For each incident the car was collected at the time stated and a courtesy car loaned for the duration of the repair. We were kept informed throughout the repair process how things were progressing and the car was repaired and returned on time. It had also been cleaned inside and out!

In one instance the parts required for the repair were wrongly delivered, but the manager of the garage rang to keep us informed what was happening.

All in all, I would recommend Direct Line to anyone wanting car insurance, they offer very competitive rates. But like I said earlier, their service may differ from area to area, so ask around people who live near you and ask their experiences.

Summary: Makes me wonder if different branches are not as efficient as others.
