I am listening to my girlfriends latest phone conversation with Direct Line insurance. She is trying to retrieve proof of no claims for her insurance with another company. Yes they have received the cheque they demanded to allow her to buy back the no claims lost when her wing mirror was clipped. They apologised for asking her to send the cheque to the wrong department and they cannot retrieve it or send her proof of no claims.

So why is she changing insurance company? Well they told her she wouldn't lose her no claims when her wing mirror was clipped and they paid out the most insignificant sum for someone else's mirror. Then they almost doubled her renewal premium.

There have been hours of conversations on non-geographic numbers. They never know what has gone before.
