UNFINISHED REPAIR (Direct Line)
Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: THEY DON'T RESPOND TO ANY CORRESPONDENCE OR CALLS
I have been with Direct Line for many years and had no problems, but then again I hadn't had an accident. I had a non fault accident last September, all was going well until (because of their attitude) I chose not to use the recommended repairer, I told Direct Line about this and they were fine about me using another garage. Well what a mistake that was, I took it to Chipping Sodbury Motors who quoted to repair the vehicle including an "initial pull on a jig". Well when they eventually booked it in some 6 weeks after the accident they repaired the panels but the alignment was not straight. They insisted to my insurance company that it wasn't the original hatch (it is Ive had it from new). Now Direct Line are not replying to me have paid the garage, the third party (Diamond Insurance) have had to pay and I am stuck with a car and an unsatisfactory repair. Lesson hear is it seems to me that you HAVE to use the recommended repairer or tough. Summary: YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET |
