Advantages: Helpful and friendly staff. Fast service and results!!

Disadvantages: I didn't get insurance from them before!

I recently was involved in a car crash, and as I am a bit of a veteran at this I rubbed my head thinking to myself 'Here we go again', as in the past all of the insurance companies that I have been with have taken ages to sort out anything for me. Thankfully with Direct Line this was not the case.

When I rang them up in the middle of the night they had someone there to pick up the car within an hour and to take me home. I rang them the next day to arrange for the collection of my car to be taken to the garage to be fixed, in the past this task usually took me around 5 days to achieve. In utter shock I was greeted just 2 hours later by someone with a truck to take my car away!! I was overjoyed; in fact I hadn't even had time to remove all of my personal belongings from the car.

After the car had gone I only had to wait two days before their assessor gave me a ring to let me know what was happening in regards to the repair of my vehicle. This was unbelievable, usually if I have ever been involved in a car crash the insurance company would all go on holiday for a week before getting back to me.

After talking to really helpful people over the phone that reassured me that they would deal with everything, and made me feel comfortable rather than a criminal the matter was all sorted within a week!!

All I have to say is that for the cheap price that I was paying for my insurance I was expecting the same sort of service, cheap and unfriendly, with Direct Line I can honestly say that this was not the case, and I can highly recommend them to anyone who wants to be treated like a human being rather than just another crash claiming statistic.
