2 Years ago i was involved in a slight accident which resulted in the car landing in a shallow ditch. Before coming to rest in this ditch the car knocked over a wooden fencepost which in turn unearthed its concrete foundation. This explained obviously i was going nowhere and was in need of assistance. After calling the given phone numbers i was pleasantly supprised by the arrival of a Direct Line Pickup 25 minutes later. The so called mechanic proceeded to hum and ha and inspect the damage caused by the upturned concrete. Fifteen minutes after his arrival this mechanic informed me that the car would need to be lifted off of the obstruction as it was jammed under the subframe. This was an easy task however it would require the use of heavy equipment which apparently was not part of my policy. Using the old fashioned quote of if you give me a drink i can do the job for you Mr mechanic hooked the car up and sped off down the road dragging my car with him. The result of this astounding piece of idiocy was a warped chasis, busted sub-frame and a gear box swinging in the wind. Summary: |
