Direct Line are not the cheapest insurance company especially for young/new drivers. My husband however is in his thirties and his insurance is very reasonable. About 2 years ago we had our car stolen and when it was eventually found we were told it was a write off.Direct Line sent one of their assessors to look at the damage and asked us what we thought the car was worth. We told them(which was actually more than we had originally paid for the car)and they paid us no quibble. We had to wait about 2 weeks from the car being found to them paying us but altogether quite a good service.
