Saved me hundreds, but still shop around! (Direct Line)

Advantages: Can save a lot of money, online buying

Disadvantages: No courtesy car

I used Direct line for my motor insurance. I tried around 30 companies and they came out the cheapest for cover.

I had quotes ranging up to £2000, but paid £730 with Direct Line, over £200 less than the next cheapest.

Cover is adequate, and they also offer discounts on home and travel insurance for having my motor policy. The only disadvantage I can see is that they do not offer a courtesy car, but if the saving is significant it is worth it.

Direct Line are certainly worth getting a quote from, although they won't save everyone money (they weren't the cheapest for my Sister). I saved a lot for doing so.
