What a pleasant suprise I got from logging onto Elephant.co.uk! My car insurance quote came through from my previous insurers and had gone up massively - this was cause by my boyfriend, who is also insured on the car, having got a 3 point speeding fine last year.

I made numerous phone calls trying to get a better quote and was getting £10 less here, £15 less there. A friend recommened trying elephant.co.uk - and I was amazed. I filled in all the details which include one windscreen accident, one new door, one actual crash into another car plus my boyfriends speeding points - the quote came back fully comp on my Fiat seicento for only £420 - a good £200 saving on the next best quote. I didn't believe it and logged in again and created a new quote, getting my sister to check with me that I was filling it in correcly. Same result.

Of course I accepted and within 48 hours had all the relevant paper work with all the details correct. What a difference to most car insurance firms - in future I won't bother to shop round at all!

NB - Have been prompted by a comment to say two things I forgot to mention
a) this is for 12 months - I got an even cheaper quote from them for 10 months cover, although i can't remember the exact figure. But I wanted 12 months cover for the NCB.
b) The excess is quite high, its £350 - but this was the same for all the quotes I got and is due to the number of accidents I have had in the last few years.
