Advantages: good claims department

Disadvantages: could have more discounts for renewals

I have had a student possessions policy and a musical instrument policy with endsleigh for 3 years now.

The musical one costs around £40 a year for my flute, and thankfully I have not had to make a claim with this one.

I got burgled in my 2nd year, and had to claim for all my things like handbag and cards. My handbag was quite expensive and the process to make a claim was very easy.

I got a police number, then phoned the claims number for endsleigh. I was then talked through what I needed to do next and was given a reference number to call when I had done this. I had to write a list of everything that was stolen, and the value next to it and email it in.

I then got a call from a replacing department to see if they could replace my headphones with an exact copy. They couldnt find them anymore as they had gone out of production so they just sent me a check combined with the value of the other items.

The whole process didnt take very long at all. The people on the phone were very sympathetic, gave me advice about security, and made the whole thing very easy for me.

I will continue to use them for musical insurance, as Im not a student anymore I wont have the student possessions policy. I have recommended them to my sister who got a quote of £46 for a year for the student possessions which is great!

I cant comment on them for any other policies as I havent taken any others out.
